Some Scrappy Goodness

Guess who just got her first Guest DT gig for a monthly kit club? Yours truly! I found out this weekend that I will be the Guest Designer for the month of September over at Paper Popsicles and I’m totally stoked!

If you’ve never been to their site before, I encourage you to to check them out. Not only do they offer two completely different kits every month, but their mini kits are just as fabulous! I’m so excited to receive my box of goodies and I can’t wait to share my creations with you luvvies!

This is the page that I created for the call. The rules were that the page needed to include 4 photos and be of a vacation. I chose to scrap these photos from a waterpark on Guam. I still have so many pics I have to scrap from our 2 years on that gorgeous island.
Yes, that’s me in a bikini and yes that was before the twins came along. LOL!

(btw, I’m totally digging Scenic Route lately. I want more please?!)

Switching gears here…I’ve been receiving kits from Coconut Scrapshop for a few months now and July 31st is the big August Kit reveal over at the message board. The party starts at 6pm EST! Want a clue about the kit? Well, word on the street is that the paper is from a HOT international manufacturer and Pamela Young (CSS DT) is the brainiac behind the kit. I’m going to be there with bells on because I can’t wait to see what all the hype’s about.

Would you like a chance to win a free kit from Coconut Scrapshop? All you have to do is visit Jen’s blog and leave a comment HERE on which CSS kit you want! How can you possibly say no to a free kit? I love you all dearly…but why are you still here? GO NOW!

A Post Finally

I’m so sorry that’s been a while since I last posted. I had field training all of last week, which had me physically drained during the evenings. I think I’m finally caught up on my sleep.

Katie tagged me a few days ago in which I have to share 7 completely random facts about myself. So here goes nothing…

1. I love Tobasco sauce. I put it on almost everything. Eggs, Hamburger Helper, Spaghetti…the list goes on and on.

2. I am 18 years older than my brother. He was born when I was a Senior in Highschool.

3. All 3 of my kids’ first names end with “A” sound. Jayda, Tahlia, and Isaiah. I have no idea why, either. LOL.

4. I proudly drive a Dodge Grand Caravan and I’m not ashamed. I guess you could call me a “Soccer Mom” but none of my kids play soccer. :P

5. I used to go to bed with my socks on and my hubby thought I was a freak. What can I say…I hate having cold feet!

6. I can’t drink a glass of milk. It just leaves me more thirsty. I used to drink it all the time, especially when I was pregnant.

7. My twins were born 2 minutes apart. (Cesaerean of coure, there was no way I was pushing out 14 lbs of babies!)

I’m tagging

Tabitha
Alex
Grace
Pamela
Cheryl
Ching
Mendifae

If you ladies would like to play, post 7 random facts about yourself on your blog and pick 7 more people to play along!

Lastly, but most importantly…a B-52 crashed earlier this week off the coast of Guam, killing the crew of six. My DH and I knew one of the crew members. Only two bodies were recovered and positively identified. DNA testing is being performed on other remains that were found at the crash site. It never sits well with me, when we’re unable to locate our fallen. I hope that the various military and government agencies involved in the recovery are able to locate the other crew members, so that their families can have some sort of peace and closure. Please keep these families in your thoughts and prayers.

Coconut Scrapshop ATC Swap

I’m hosting an Artist Trading Card (ATC) swap at the Coconut Scrapshop. Head on over to the Coconut Message board to find out all the fun details HERE! The deadline to sign up is tomorrow evening!

I’ll be heading out for field training tomorrow, so this will probably be my only post for this week. Also, I start an online Algebra class tomorrow (gag!).

I’ll share a couple of pages I made this week. The first was a challenge but I didn’t finish it on time, which is ok…because I had more time to get the result I wanted. The majority of this page is from Scrap Muse’s June kit.

The second page is one from my Honor Guard days at the USAF Academy. The photo is almost 10 years old, holy cow! I look so young and innocent, LOL! This is also the second page that I created from Coconut Scrapshop’s July Kit, “Liberty”. Got to love that Scenic Route stuff!

That’s it for now. It’s time to take the kiddos to the pool, enjoy the rest of your Sundays!
